Spartacus is shown as a man of great strength and intellect, but he is also portrayed as a man with faults with makes him much more loveable. To put it in terms that would be used in Spartacus - the world is a stone mazen, and we are the marble. I would say that the entire story circles about the building of a character. A lot of what goes on in Spartacus is actually backed by historical facts. If there is, i would say, that it is, no matter how horrible you think the world is today, it's nothing compared to what happened back in ancient times. But the show is decent, and the Characters are played by actors who are really into their roles. The show has a lot of faults, both in language and in facts about the time period. True, there has been some modifications to the story of the rebel king Spartacus, but behind all the blood splatter and the ringing swords, you find some entertainment - if you are not drawn by blood and bronze swords already :) strange way of speaking that is supposed to sound ancient dialects of latin, then you actually find some really interesting characters, and a story that actually stunned the world of the antic roman empire before it was an empire.
